Surface Insulation Resistance & Electromigration Testing (SIR Testing)



Our laboratories operate the latest technology for SIR testing; an Auto-SIR developed by Concoat Systems and the NPL. This is acknowledged to be the world leading instrument for this type of test.

SIR testing & Electromigration testing includes Bellcore GR-78-CORE (Telcordia) and IPC-J-STD-004, plus the new IEC61189-5 process characterisation test using an assembled coupon.

We can provide coupon preparation, chamber time and final report. Or to reduce the costs we can provide chamber time alone where the customer wishes to provide the pre-prepared coupons and feel capable to analyse the output directly from the Auto-SIR.
