De-capping of ICs Service

OpticalDecap

Decapsulation or decapping of an IC enables the silicon within the package to be visually inspected.

The technique involves the use of heated strong acids and should not be attempted by anyone without the correct equipment and training.

The silicon is then inspected and photographed under high magnification.
